February 2011: idly trying to find some more bits of video, of sound, from the most important band of the 20th century (with the possible exception of that Liverpool bunch) I was astonished to discover that some of their eponymous domain names were unregistered.

I'm sure they must have been owned at one point, but as of 24th February, they weren't, so I grabbed them - after all, some irrelevant outfit got hold of the .com and are using it in a thoroughly uninteresting way.

I like to think that I am holding these domain names in trust, rather than being their owner - and there is but one man on earth to whom I might surrender them. Well, maybe also Walter K, who is likely to write far more interesting, intelligent and informed stuff here than I ever could, but we'll see...

But in the meantime, I'll hang onto the domain, and try to give directions to some good resources about the band and its extraordinary legacy.
